Conflict arises when the boys’ egos get involved as they try to come up with the name of the podcast and other logistics. A discussion ensues about the benefits of being open and honest and not taking things personally while experiencing a seeming conflict, and how that is the opposite of how most of us handle conflict every day. Being identified with your ego is taking things personally, as well as judging pretty much everything. There is a discussion of whether or not working on past traumas/experiences is ego work, and valuable, and when it might be valuable and necessary. Topics of special/ego relationships, and shame/innocence are also explored.
